Skip the mobile app! Send dithered PNG cards directly from your Mac to your physical Picpak unit over Bluetooth Low Energy.

1 Install Python Tools

Run this command in your Mac Terminal to install BLE, image, and QR code libraries:

python3 -m pip install bleak pillow numpy qrcode[pil]

2 Get Uploader Script

We have prepared a self-contained upload script inside your project folder. Click to download a local copy:

3 Scan BLE Address

Long-press the Picpak's front button for 3 seconds (light goes solid), then run this command to find its UUID address:

python3 uploader.py --scan

4 Push Image or Batch Folder

Single image upload:

python3 uploader.py --address "YOUR-UUID" --image "card.png"

Batch folder upload (uploads all sequentially):

python3 uploader.py --address "YOUR-UUID" --folder "/path/to/folder"

Offline Batch Generation (optional)

To generate all cards locally from a Markdown catalog (with QR codes, left-aligned author, and theme colors), use the included Python generator:

python3 card_generator.py --input nature_facts.md --output_dir "./cards" --theme crimson_pop

Add --no-qr to skip QR codes on generated cards.
